Peerless Machine & Tool Corporation was founded in 1922 by Mr. John H. Carson. With six employees and 3,000 square feet of shop space he set up business in Marion, Indiana.

In the early years, the company specialized in repairing machinery for the corrugated board industry. The purification of genomic DNA, RNA, or viral DNA/RNA is facilitated throughchemagen's proprietary M-PVA Magnetic Bead technology in combination with chemagen's high performance instrument - the chemagic Magnetic Separation Module I (chemagic MSM I). It enables the automated separation of nucleic acids from sample volumes between 10 ?l and 10 ml.
